It’s a fierce nocturnal predator with specialized hairs that help it detect vibrations in the sand. The giant hairy desert scorpion spends most of its day burrowed to avoid the heat of the day. These amazing invertebrates exhibit biofluorescence under a black light. Under a black light they appear neon blue/green, due to specialized proteins found in their exoskeleton
