Bamboo Shark

Bamboo sharks are small, bottom-dwelling sharks that usually grows to about 3 feet long. Native to shallow, coastal waters of the Indo-Pacific, these sharks spend their days tucked into crevices or under ledges and become more active at night. Using its long, whisker-like barbels, it searches the seafloor for crabs, shrimp, and small fish. Bamboo sharks, it can tolerate low-oxygen environments and is even able to rest in tide pools for short periods.

he Atlantic Horseshoe Crab is a remarkable creature, often called a "living fossil," with a distinctive horseshoe-shaped shell that can reach up to 2 feet long. Found in the shallow coastal waters of the eastern United States, they are not true crabs, but are more closely related to arachnids like spiders. One of their most fascinating features is their blue blood.
