Baby Boom! Meet Our Newest Tiny Reptile Residents

We have some exciting news! Our Western Bearded Anoles, Rango and Beans, are officially parents! We'd like to introduce the newest members of the Topsail Aquarium family: Martin, Gina, Timmy, and Eddie! These tiny hatchlings have been growing quickly behind the scenes, and we're thrilled to watch them develop.

When we acquired Rango and Beans, we were told they were a retired breeding pair. Apparently, nobody told them! Since welcoming their first four babies, we've already discovered two more eggs in their enclosure, so it looks like our little lizard family may be getting even bigger.

Western Bearded Anoles are fascinating lizards native to Central America, where they spend much of their time climbing through trees and shrubs in search of insects. Like many reptiles, they hatch as miniature versions of the adults and are completely independent from day one. While they may be tiny now, they're already showing off the same curious personalities as their parents.
